Sheila Barnes is an international vocal consultant and singing teacher based in the UK and Italy. She teaches choral scholars at Trinity College of The University of Cambridge, and works with professional consort and opera singers across Europe. She regularly gives workshops and masterclasses internationally, including in China, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the United Kingdom.

Born in the United States, she trained at Yale University and The Juilliard School before enjoying a successful performing career in New York and internationally, later settling in Europe.
​
She has worked as a vocal coach with groups in Italy and the UK, including Accademia degli Unisoni and La Nuova Musica. She is particularly passionate about bringing her body-based, bel canto approach to ensemble singing and looks forward to working with the choir in Berwang this summer.
