Berwang Swimming Pool

Berwang [https://www.tyrol.com/places/a-berwang] is

situated in the Zugspitz Arena [https://zugspitzarena.com/en

Area  the area around Germany's tallest mountain – an idyllic area for walkers of all levels. Berwang itself boasts spas, tennis courts, swimming pools, crazy golf and more! King Ludwig's Castle at Neuschwanstein is close by.

The large, heated, outdoor pool in an idyllic location also has a cafe where you can sit and while away the time.

Another activity, popular with regular Berwang course members is walking or taking a chairlift up the Almkopf and take some refreshment in the cafe. If you hire a bike you can even take it up on the chairlift and cycle down! At the ticket office you can even hire a mountain scooter and come down on that.

By foot it is also possible to visit the restaurant Jägerhaus, halfway up the footpath to the Almkopf.

Another footpath, direct from the village, takes you up to Kögele Hütte cafe. From there you can either retrace your steps or visit the neighbouring village of Rinnen.

In Rinnen, at the hotel Thanellerhof, you can sample the beer they make in the highest brewery in Austria. By prior arrangement it may even be possible to take a tour of the brewery.

The village band will be playing on the bandstand on the evening of Wednesday 21 August, it's always great to Austrian music played live in the Tyrol.

On the evening of Friday 23 August there will be the opportunity to visit the Heimatmuseum (local history museum). This is divided into some rooms showing various periods in the history of Berwang plus exhibitions and videos.

The local tourist office also have a programme of activities such as walks exploring the local flora and fauna.
